Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning!

It seems to never end! You know its bad when your plan for the day is to clean your house, however first you walk out to check on how your child is doing with starting to clean the cages. You notice that there are quite a few dirty water bottles, so your agenda for the day is taken over by RABBITS! Which means, making sure all of the "cull" rabbits are taken out of the barn to be culled later, washing all of the water bottles and the crocks, refilling the bottles, taking them back out to the barn to put them back on the cages and finally separating all of the siblings that need separated. I started at 9:30 am, it is now almost 1 pm and I STILL need to clean house! And that is how rabbits can rearrange your entire day! LOL

ETA: AND I was just informed we will be tattooing later! Yep, definitely NOT going to get everything done that I had planned today!

Summer cleaning!

We spent the day yesterday cleaning the rabbit barn. We took all of the cages out to bleach and power wash them then replaced all of the old shower curtains that we have hanging behind the cages. It was a lot of work but the barn looks and smells so nice now. We try to do this 3 or 4 times a year to maintain a clean home for the bunnies! We are hoping to eventually get some type of rubber flooring that will be easier to keep clean and that we will be able to take out to clean.

Power Washing!

Down with the old, up with the new!

Nice and clean!

Changes!

There are a lot of changes going on at Rockin' H Dwarfs! We are getting out of REWs to concentrate on our BEWs, Otters and Chestnuts. We never intended on getting into Chestnuts but we decided last winter to get a few to help with the rufus on our Otters. Little did we know at the time that they would start to grow on us and we would soon have more Chestnuts than we ever planned! We are excited to see what the rest of the year brings!

ANDRC Nationals April 2010

We had a great time at Nationals! It was Dylan's first National show and we are pleased to announce that he won Best Opposite of Breed with Lil Bit Farms' LB82, a Black Otter Sr Doe. We were happy that Melanie and LeAnne were there to share the victory! Thanks again for selling us such a beautiful doe ladies!!
